Calen is 7 months old
This is us . . .
Calen is 7 months old. Wow time goes way too fast! He is so much fun! Each stage so far has been my favorite, guess I like them all.
What you are up to now . . .
You love sitting and playing with your toy box. So much so that you are trying to climb in it, I will post that picture soon. You ended up face down with your feet up in the air! Mobility is in your near future. You want so bad to move forward and you know you can but the coordination is just not there yet. We have started crawl training. It consists of me standing you up (which you love) then I bend you forward and put your hands on the ground. You look like a monkey but you seem to like it. After doing that for a few days you finally bent your knees and ended up in the crawl position for the first time today. Standing and holding onto our fingers or the laundry basket is a favorite. You even took one step while holding my hands.
Other new things:
Loves, hugging us
Kisses, open mouth and slobber, but we love it!
Arms up, letting us know you want us to pick you up
Swimmer legs when you are on your belly
Trying to pull up on the laundry basket
Attempting to crawl up on Daddy's lap when you are sitting next to him on the floor.
Petting Maggie or getting a wad of her hair in your hand or mouth!
Dance parties . . . you love them!
Smiling and laughing when you see a picture of yourself on our phones.

Training for Crawling
Calen doesn't like his tummy time very much, but he loves to stand. So I am trying the reverse approach to get him crawling. He won't bend his knees, so we will trying bending at the waist first.
He does however get the push up part of crawling.
