Some recent favorites

It takes 3 people to take his hand print and a 4th to document the event.
Cal always likes to have his head pushed back when you are holding him upright like this, strong kiddo.
 Love the baby yawns!
Just chillin' while Mom takes too many pictures of me.

Trying to smile while scrunched in the swing and wearing his hat for the first time.

Cal is getting so big!

Well we are 3 1/2 weeks into our new adventure.  Cal is getting big fast.  He went home from the hospital at 7lbs 5oz and gained a pound in 10 days.  We went in to get him circumsized a week after his 2 week check up and he had gained a pound in 7 days!  He is a healthy eater.  He was a little tongue tied so the doctor snipped it and it seems to help me out when nursing :-).  He giggles in his sleep and smiles.  Today he smiled at me for the first time while awake and on purpose.  Calen is a great sleeper at night and usually takes one long nap during the day.  He is a very strong and very alert little boy.  Just the last few days he has started following the dog as she walks past him.  He follows the sound of my voice and Daddy's.  He also recognizes Grandma's voice.  She was a Godsend those first 2 weeks.  Dad was so great to run all my errands till I felt like being human again.  Everyone has been great bring us food and presents, we are truly blessed.  Thank you all!

Here are some of the many visitors we've had over the past 3 weeks.  I have not been the best at documenting everyone that has come by . . . sorry!

Calen Jacob Mauss

The first picture of our family of three!
Calen Jacob Mauss born 12:31pm Sunday July 24, 2011.
7 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches
 Proud Daddy!
 Exhausted Mommy and Baby.
 First of many Father/Son naptime.
First bath, he loves the running water on his head.

Not my best look but at least my two boys look good.

This is the outfit we brought him home from the hospital in and our first night at home.

Just the two of us and just before my induction

Well as many of you know we finally had our baby boy.  He was 10 days late and had no intention of coming out on his own.  We had to resort to an induction, which took 24 hours to finally get the stubborn little bean out!
